Job description

The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is seeking Technical Staff to support the development of IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards. The role involves conducting evidence-based research, stakeholder consultation, staff analysis and recommendations, drafting technical papers, and project management.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Conduct research on sustainability issues
  • Engage with external stakeholders
  • Develop technical proposals for the ISSB
  • Draft due process documents
  • Lead discussions with ISSB members and advisory committees
  • Collaborate with IASB Technical Staff
  • Manage projects and coordinate activities

Required Experience & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of sustainability and financial reporting
  • Understanding of capital markets and sustainability risks
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in English

Location: Montreal, Canada or Frankfurt, Germany (Hybrid) Hours: 35 hours per week, full time Salary: Competitive, plus benefits
