Job description

Job Title: Internship Health Equity and Access Program Support

Location: Amsterdam 3x per week, Eindhoven once a month

Type: Internship - not suitable for thesis

Length: minimum until the end of March 2025, 8-12 months is optional

Time: 32-40 hours/week

Expected Start Date: September/October 2024

You will be working with the Health Equity and Access (HEA) team within Group Sustainability. The international team works passionately on multidisciplinary and cross-departmental projects around the globe – ranging from digital innovation and sustainable business models to external partnership strategy and internal engagement – to reach the company's commitment to improving the lives of 400 million people in underserved healthcare communities by 2030.

Your role:

  • Drive the visibility and sharing of our "social impact" work within the company; engage with other working groups to identify and increase synergies
  • Support the creation of and engagement with "intrapreneurship" community
  • Support our impact finance engagements; identify potential impact funders, engage with them around specific projects and initiatives
  • Support the secondary and primary research in the development of marketing assets
  • Support engagements of Philips in the Digital Connected Care Coalition
  • Supporting ad hoc, relevant requests related to health equity and access (e.g. research for strategy work, etc.)
  • Support promising HEA acceleration projects (market research in global health and social business topics)
  • Synthesize results and disseminate them internally through presentations, reports, and briefs
  • Capture minutes of the meetings, create action trackers and follow up on progress updates
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the Businesses, Regions, Functions, and Partners, and ensure maximum coordination of resources and effort.

You're the right fit if:

  • Currently running your Bachelor or Master studies in studies such as Communication, (digital) Marketing, Global/Public Health, Health Economics/management, (Development) Economics, Sustainable Development, or any other relevant studies, master level preferred
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Motivated, talented, hard-working, eager, independent, hands-on young individual
  • Relevant experience, e.g. previous internship, (extracurricular projects, etc.) related to global health and business
  • Excellent knowledge of oral and written English

Important: Please note that in order to be considered for an internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation (proof of enrollment) will be requested. Students from outside the EU need to fill in an NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed by the student and the university.
