Job description

ERM is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Mid - Senior Level) to join our support team in Mexico City, Mexico. At ERM we know that creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career.

Overview of the Infrastructure Engineering Role:

  • Ensure that ERM's infrastructure is available at all times
  • Maintain Confidentiality, Integrity & Availability of Information
  • Act as internal escalation and engagement point for 3rd Party infrastructure services
  • Ensure that the integration of acquired companies' IT systems are smoothly transitioned into the ERM environment
  • Provide support and technical direction in accordance with business requirements, relevant laws and regulations
  • Participate in the development of Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning
  • Liaise with third parties/suppliers/customers as appropriate and contribution to business strategy proposals

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing identification and mitigation of potential risks and their probable business impact
  • Support and manage servers, networks and associated infrastructure where appropriate
  • Assist in other activities of the Technology Services as directed
  • Identify, quantify, and prioritize risks against criteria for risk acceptance and objectives relevant to the agency
  • Document processes & procedures and update existing documentation
  • Provide guidance to less experienced members of the team

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Substantial work experience in a technical analytical role responsible for maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments is essential
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience is essential
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Infrastructure services
  • Experience of implementing and running IaaS and PaaS solutions with public cloud providers (specifically MS Azure)
  • Extensive Experience of Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation and Azure virtualization technologies (e.g. AVD)
  • Extensive knowledge of Server hardware including Blade Chassis, rack systems and supporting infrastructure
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, both on premise and MS Entra ID
  • Knowledge of Cisco and Meraki networking hardware, OS and technologies (Catalyst / Nexus switches, routers, ASA firewalls. VPN, APs)
  • Working Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of NetApp and Dell storage technologies e.g. SAN and NAS
  • Knowledge of Commvault Simpana and Metallic backup solutions
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions (SolarWinds Orion, WMI, SNMP, Azure)
  • Knowledge of networking technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP etc.)
  • Knowledge of Riverbed WAN acceleration appliances and mobile would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Dev Ops methodologies (Azure Dev Ops)
