Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced global head of technical sales, with a strong experience in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), EMS (Energy Management Systems), and BMS (Building Management Systems) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will either come from a similar role at a leading HVAC/EMS/BMS software company, or from a Technical role in a system company such as Honeywell, Schneider, JCI. Through such background, we also expect the candidate to have a strong knowledge on IOT.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the global tech sales team & ensure best in class audit, demonstration and offer deliverability across our 5 regions
  • Able to be accountable & both lead + hands on work in pre-sales audits of HVAC/EMS/BMS systems, preparation of project proposals, bids, and presentations. We are not looking for a manager that will only perform through the people under him/her, we are still a startup and require everyone to produce.
  • Influence company strategic orientation through in depth industry & competition knowledge.
  • Be accountable for organisation performance and OKRs: Reduce offer release time, Increase deal to win rate,…
  • Take the lead to Audit & improve company tech sales processes
  • Ensure collaboration with CRO and Head of delivery on sales cycle streamlining
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making and ensure our offerings remain competitive. Strategize & develop partner ecosystems.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Masters in Engineering or science field, preferably in energy or building related majors.
  • 15+ years of experience in Technical Sales or related role, in the domain of HVAC/EMS/BMS, either in a leading system company (Honeywell, Schneider, JCI) or in a leading B2B SaaS company related to this field.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, energy management principles, and building automation technologies. Same for Chiller systems.
  • Strong understanding of IOT/IIOT, gateways, protocols, ..
  • Strong knowledge & network in the building industry, especially on the stakes of digital transformation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • English professional efficiency, a second language is a + (English, Chinese).
  • Proficiency in project management tools/software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC) is a plus.
  • Must show a strong leader, be passionate with a can-do attitude and self-motivated, driven and self-starter person.
