Job description

RSB - Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the team as our Fundraising Manager– ideal for an individual interested in furthering an international career in an organisation focused on sustainability and industry transformation.

As the Fundraising Manager at RSB, you will be responsible for implementing fundraising strategies to support the goals and objectives of the organisation. You will work closely with RSB's Executive Director and leadership team to identify potential funding opportunities and support building relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders. The position's responsibilities include:

  • Bring our newly refreshed fundraising strategy to life to secure financial support for RSB's programs and initiatives in our mission to create a sustainable bio-based and circular economy.
  • Support the Executive Director in cultivating potential donor relationships focused on the US and EU donor landscape including family and corporate foundations, corporations and government agencies.
  • Support the Executive Director in maintaining relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring effective communication and stewardship
  • Engage across the team to prepare and submit compelling funding proposals, grant applications, and donor reports
  • Manage and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop fundraising materials and campaigns
  • Monitor and evaluate fundraising efforts, keep track of fundraising goals and targets, and developing a formal pipeline for fundraising efforts
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising, and continuously seek opportunities for professional development

Requirements

RSB seeks an individual based in Spain, Germany, or the UK, equipped with relevant experience and a strong commitment to sustainability.

Required - Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Proven and relevant track record in fundraising, preferably in the non-profit or sustainability sector, in the US and Europe.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or communications.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in securing grants, sponsorships, and donations from diverse sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working remotely (home-office based).
  • Strong ethics and confidentiality.
