JOB DESCRIPTION
--> Reports To: Sustainability Product Director
--> Role Purpose: The ESG Standard Expert role belongs to the newly created global Sustainability Enablement Practice under Bureau Veritas Chief Sustainability Officer. The goal of this practice is to enable BV group to deliver an accelerated growth when it comes to Sustainability services, by actively collaborating with our Operating Groups and by developing centrally solutions and models for the benefit of our Operating Groups.
The ESG Standards Expert reports to the Sustainability Products Director whose role is to develop BV Sustainability expertise in alignment with the market directions and BV Strategy, to develop technical content and trainings to build up our global expertise, to contribute to the creation of our offer and its differentiation, to perform proactively standards watch to ensure early positioning on relevant topics, to support our commercial and execution teams (technical differentiation, interaction with operating teams and customers, excellence in execution of our projects) and to build strong internal and external relationships within the ESG community.
Specifically, the ESG Standards Expert Champion focuses on the ESG (CSRD) & Value Chain Transition Services to Corporates
--> Main Duties and Responsibilities: For the ESG(CSRD) and value chain transition services to corporates, main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactive ESG standards mapping, and relevance to BV globally.
- Develop technical content and trainings to build up our global expertise.
- Contribute to the creation of our offer and its differentiation.
- Perform proactively standards watch to ensure early positioning on relevant topics.
- Support our commercial and execution teams (technical differentiation, interaction with operating teams and customers. excellent in execution of our projects).
- Build strong internal and external relationships within the ESG community.
- Lead ESG internal experts' community and network.
--> Deliverables:
- ESG standards mapping globally.
- ESG standards training development.
- Methodologies and tools development to ensure homogenization of the execution of our services.
- Standards watch.
- Conferences and Forums visibility + papers.
--> Key Performance Measures:
- Work in line with the BV Absolutes and Code of Ethics
- Compliance with people policies and common processes
- ESG (CSRD) and Value Chain completing tasks and deliverables as described above
--> Experience & Skills Required:
- Large experience in ESG standards and related services.
- Detailed and in-depth understanding of global sustainability/ESG and related assurance standards, and especially CSRD European Union directive.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated success in developing methodologies, content, and trainings to build and grow expertise globally.
- Ability to confidently and expertly present Sustainability and ESG to customers, internal stakeholders, and industry conferences and forums.
--> Qualifications Required:
- Master's degree level in Sustainability and/or relevant sector knowledge/experience
- Member of a related professional institution.
- English written & spoken.
