Sustainability Sales & Marketing global VP

Role Purpose

The ESG Market Champion role belongs to the newly created global Sustainability Enablement Practice under Bureau Veritas Chief Sustainability Officer. The goal of this practice is to enable BV group to deliver an accelerated growth when it comes to Sustainability services, by actively collaborating with our Operating Groups and by developing centrally solutions and models for the benefit of our Operating Groups.

The ESG Market Champion reports to the Sustainability Sales & Marketing global VP whose role is to develop BV Sustainability offer and go-to-market strategies in alignment with the market directions and BV Strategy, and to ensure an efficient and impactful implementation in our geographies and markets in order to deliver our SP 28 Sustainability growth objectives.

Specifically, the ESG Market Champion focuses on the ESG (CSRD) & Value Chain Transition Services to Corporates.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish our ESG (CSRD) and Value Chain BV offers and go-to-market strategies through a deep understanding of client business needs in this market, market trends both on the horizon and within competing organisations, and our BV corporate strategy.
  • Develop and growth our ESG (CSRD) and Value Chain business, to deliver our SP 28 growth objectives.
  • Collaborate and support regional execution of 'go-to-market' package of services in alignment with our operating groups (inc. proposals/tenders support, communication materials, impact stories, references, marketing materials, webinars, reports, white papers, and sales & marketing workforce training)
  • Strong co-ordination and delivery of detailed roadmap (demonstration of growth in sales & revenue)
  • Create the necessary governance to drive the communication, implementation of the detailed roadmap and action plan, campaigns and strategies, strategic tenders.
  • Delivers and supports sales performance and appropriate activity KPI (aligned with SP 28 ambition) and commensurate pipeline.
  • Governs high level relationships, meet key stakeholders, particularly in client HO to develop sustainability leads.
  • Develop and deliver thought-leadership strategy necessary to position our BV as the reference when it comes to Sustainability Services (strategic visibility including papers, conferences, publications…)

Deliverables

  • ESG (CSRD) and Value Chain revenue growth in alignment with SP 28
  • Training of sales and operations, templates and detailed roadmap for execution, and monitoring of progress.
  • Offer and Go-to-market strategy roadmap, development, and implementation (communication materials, impact stories, references, marketing materials, webinars, reports, white papers, and sales & marketing workforce training) according to roadmap delivery milestones.
  • Active collaboration and support to Operating groups (proposals\tender support, customers meetings, forums and conference planning and participation)

  • Work in line with the BV Absolutes and Code of Ethics
  • Compliance with people policies and common processes
  • ESG (CSRD) and Value Chain budgeted revenue growth aligned with SP 28
  • ESG (CSRD) and Value Chain Offer, Go-to-Market plan and on-time delivery

Authority & Decision making

  • Management by influence, and indirect responsibility for approach across Sustainability stakeholders in operating groups
  • Offer, Go-to-market strategy and prioritization.
  • Bid escalation and direction

Experience & Skills Required

  • Demonstrated successful business development experience.
  • Leader who understands the full range of sustainability services (sustainability advisory, to net zero carbon, to social value, and ESG assurance) especially ESG services to corporates and CSRD European Union directives.
  • Demonstrated success in developing strategies and meeting organisational growth goals.
  • Solid financial and commercial skill set with the ability to set/manage growth budgets, investment, and resourcing which enables growth from existing services & capabilities.
  • Ensure client demands are translated into new service: identify, pursue, and personally close strategically meaningful contract opportunities
  • Proven ability and experience to operate effectively at senior management and C-executive levels.
  • Influencer and collaborator who is very comfortable operating within an international matrix structure.
  • Proven relationship building, and partnership building, with a network of domestic, regional & global partners.

Qualifications Required

  • Master's degree level and/or relevant sector knowledge/experience
  • English written & spoken.
