Content Editor - CyberRegs

Summary

Sphera Content Editors are responsible for monitoring external sources and capturing relevant content for regulatory compliance software products. The role involves daily editing and updating of internal content in response to regulatory or legislative changes, ensuring 100% accuracy.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and update full text versions of laws and regulations in Environmental, Health, Safety & Transportation topics at federal, state, and international levels
  • Follow procedures for processing content through proprietary workflow applications
  • Self-manage shifting priorities
  • Perform quality assurance reviews
  • Convert various document types into specific HTML format
  • Master in-house software for collecting and publishing content
  • Maintain task and currency logs daily
  • Report technical issues and workflow slowdowns
  • Occasionally research and resolve customer service issues
  • Occasionally write or edit procedural manuals and documentation

Education/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (related fields: technical writing, English, journalism, web development, environmental, legal, or engineering)
  • Excellent command of English language (written and verbal)
  • Accomplished editing or content management skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in professional editing, content management, or HTML/XML preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (focus on Word), HTML editing software, and familiarity with OCR software
  • Familiarity with advanced search-and-replace techniques a plus
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Keen eye for detail; produce thorough and accurate work
  • Natural problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, multitasking under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • General understanding of governmental regulations or environmental/health/safety a plus
