Compliance Manager
Are you a compliance officer/ manager experienced in the UK Pensions or Wealth Management , or FCA regulated industry? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team in London.
This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both in the office and virtually at home.

What the day will look like
As a Compliance Manager you will act in an advisory and oversight capacity, supporting Aon Wealth Solutions to deliver Aon wide strategy. With the assistance of the R&C Business Partner – Wealth and the R&C Business Partner Director – Human Capital, this role will foster a sound compliance culture within the firm. The Compliance Manager will promote close collaboration between the business units, UK Risk and Compliance and the UK Law teams, thereby empowering staff to take personal responsibility for compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory and Aon policy requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for all Compliance matters for the allocated Business Area, while developing enduring relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support the monitoring of investment compliance activities including checking artefacts produced for and produced by third parties.
- Attend departmental meetings, being aware of the ongoing business activities and drivers, considering the regulatory implications.
- Assess whether regulatory documents are present, up to date and appropriate, such as Compliance Manual, Policy updates, SMCR documents, training materials etc. If required update these documents in conjunction with Central Compliance.
- Identify and analyse regulatory publications, communicating where appropriate to the relevant business area and monitoring that the appropriate action is taken.
- Log and investigate breaches and complaints and ensure records are maintained in line with record keeping arrangements.
- Support and monitor regulatory returns for Aon Investments Limited.
- Act as a contact point for Compliance related queries from the FCA (on regulatory returns).
- Track activity for the Wealth R&C team including FCA MI requests etc.
- The Compliance Manager may be asked to support other UK Risk & Compliance organisational activities on an occasional basis.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment relating to the UK pensions and investment management industry.
- Knowledge of current regulatory developments such as IFPR, ESG, MiFID reporting, Conduct Risk and Investment Guidelines.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to a high standard against tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and issues.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
