Job description

Senior/Associate Sustainability Team Lead - Built Environment

Join our client as a leader of a dynamic team of Sustainability and Energy Consultants who are passionate about low carbon design and renewable energy systems. You will collaborate with design teams on projects that range from small developments to large-scale masterplans. Additionally, you'll offer consultancy services to clients, helping them develop effective decarbonisation strategies.

Skills and experience

We value building teams with a diverse set of skills to promote knowledge sharing throughout the business. We will be looking for a rich mix of some of the following skills and experience:

  • 8+ years in Sustainability or MEP Consultancy, with a focus on Sustainability and Energy in the Built Environment
  • Team management experience
  • Proficiency in reporting team performance to Directors, including KPIs, sales, and profit
  • Proven track record in acquiring and maintaining a strong client base
  • Enthusiasm for business development, including supporting new business initiatives and maintaining client relationships
  • Leadership in guiding projects from concept to completion, with a focus on sustainability and low carbon design
  • Ability to develop innovative strategies for managing Energy, Water, and Waste
  • Familiarity with Sustainability Assessments and Certification methods such as LEED, Greenmark, BREEAM, GBDL, EarthCheck, WELL
  • Experience with Environmental Simulation Software like Virtual Environment IES or bespoke tool development

Qualifications:

  • Masters/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Building Science, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
